Bra Fitting
Measuring Guide
The check your bra size two measurements are required;
1.Underbust measurement to determine band size.

Measure directly under your bust pulling the tape quite firm ensuring the tape is parallel across the back with the front preferably with the tape meeting at the centre front.
If the measurement is an even number of inches add on 4 inches
If the measurement is an odd number of inches add on 5 inches
Eg: If your underbust measurement is 33 inches add 5 inches to obtain bra size 38 or if your underbust measurement is 32 inches add 4 inches to obtain bra size 36
2. Full bust measurement
Measure around the fullest part of your bust with the tape just touching to determine cup size, make sure the tape is parallel across the back with the front preferably with the tape meeting at the centre of the bust.
If the bust measurement is:
The same as your bra size your cup size is AA-A
1 inch more your cup size is B
2 inches more your cup size is C
3 inches more your cup size is D
4 inches more your cup size is DD
5 inches more your cup size is E
6 inches more your cup size is F
7 inches more your cup size is FF
8 inches more your cup size is G
And so on.......
Example
Underbust measurement of 31 inches plus 5 inches = Bra size 36
Fullbust measurement of 36 inches = cup size A
So your correct fitting would be 36A
To check your Bra fits correctly.

Band- This should be level all the way around fitting snugly so that it does not ride up at the back.
Straps- These should run parallel at the back and be tightened to fit shoulders comfortably.Cups-
The whole of the breast should fit neatly into the cup, with no bulging at the top or sides and no gaping at the top.Wires should follow the contour of the breast and lie flat against the ribcage without digging in.
Common problems of ill-fitting bras

Bulging cups Underwire digging in
If your bust is bulging over the top of the cups the cup size is to small.
If the underwire pinches or digs into the breast tissue under the arm this means that the cup size is too small.
It’s important that the underwire completely contours the breast,so a larger cup is needed.Loose fitting cups
If the cups look baggy a smaller cup size is required.
Band rides up at the back.

If the band is rising up at the back, this could mean the bra is too big in the band or the straps are too tight: try loosening the straps, if the underband is still loose on the tightest hooks the band is too big.Remembering that most of the support comes from the underband fitting snugly. If you raise your arms the underband should stay firmly in place.
